I had my first introduction to hardcore at around 14 to 15, the first song being Force & Styles Heart of Gold, while at a mate's house, and fell in love with the song and sound. I would then start listening to the late Stu Allan (RIP) on Key103 radio Manchester. This then led me to go to the legendary bowlers Manchester to see him and my other heroes live. That was awesome stuff back in the late 90s.
I would also visit Spin Inn Records in Manchester to buy records and see what was new in the scene.
My love for the core only got stronger, and I got into DJing. I started out on a Scottish site named 'Dancecrib', no longer active, and was playing Scouse and bounce, as that is what they all liked. I also have played on various other internet radio sites along the way.
I decided to open my first website called 'WaveNation' that teamed up with maxed out beats in the very early days, which had a short life, but to this day I know a few of the original guys who joined. This led to the very first KR site being made and to sharing my passion and what I could do on the website side of things for others to share my works, input, etc.
I have also done many radio sets down the years and been part of many albums. Including most of the KR 1-15 volumes /Maxed Out Beats / Ultra hardcore vol CDs, to name a few.
Why do I use the name flash?
Well back in the late 90s me and my younger brother used to play online games Quake 3 arena etc and he had a name tag and I said to him what can I be called and and he said flash so it stuck lol
