The station was hosted by Shaun Underwood, also known on air as Shauny. Angel Radio described itself as a 24-hour internet radio station, mixing continuous music with scheduled live and pre-recorded programmes. The station played a broad selection of music including: 🎵 Dance 🎵 Pop 🎸 Rock ❤️ Love Songs 📼 80s & 90s 🎶 Current hits It also carried talk and paranormal-related programming. 🔥 Dance Zone One programme that particularly stands out for dance-music fans was: 🎧 Dance Zone Tuesday–Friday 8:00pm–10:00pm Dance Zone was advertised as playing the best of dance music. This makes Angel Radio Network an interesting surviving piece of North East online-radio history from a time when small independent stations could build their own schedules and broadcast directly over the internet. 📻 Other Shows The surviving 2010 schedule also lists programmes including: ❤️ Love Links Show — love songs and listener requests ☀️ Love in the Afternoon — Sunday afternoon love songs 🎵 Hits in the Afternoon — music from the 80s, 90s and contemporary charts 👻 Paranormal News and Information — a weekday paranormal programme There were also plans for Paranormal Fest, featuring interviews, research, information and listener participation. 🎙️ Shaun Underwood Angel Radio Network was closely associated with Shaun Underwood. Before Angel Radio, Shaun had radio experience presenting a paranormal programme on Teesdale FM during 2007/08. In June 2010 he announced Angel Radio Network as a new internet-radio project and was also looking for additional presenters to help host more programmes. 💻 Problems With The Stream One of the surviving messages from the old station provides an interesting glimpse into the problems independent internet stations faced. Angel Radio Network reported that its internet/server connection had gone down and apologised because its listening links weren't working. Listeners were instead directed towards previously recorded shows while the problem was being fixed.
