# MC Future – North East Makina / Rave MC **MC Future** is another name connected with the North East Makina and rave scene, appearing alongside some of the best-known MCs from the region. Although there isn't as much surviving information online about Future as there is for MC Tazo, Stompin or Stretch, recordings show that he was part of the wider North East MC circuit. ## MC Future & MC Tazo One particularly useful surviving recording comes from: **Velocity vs Hangar 13 – 1 December 2017** featuring: **DJ Matty MC Tazo MC Future** This is an important connection because Tazo is one of the MCs most strongly associated with the classic New Monkey and North East Makina sound. The recording shows Future performing within that same continuing North East rave community. ## Velocity & Hangar 13 The **Velocity vs Hangar 13** connection is interesting in itself. Hangar 13 is a major name in North East rave history and appears repeatedly when researching MCs including: **MC Stretch MC Impulse MC Scotty Jay MC Tazo MC Ace MC Techno-T** Events using the Hangar 13 name helped keep that history alive long after the original era. MC Future appearing alongside Tazo at one of these events places him within that later continuation of the scene. ## The MC Culture Continued That's an important part of the North East Makina story. When famous clubs closed, the MC culture didn't simply disappear. The DJs and MCs moved on to different promotions, reunion events and new venues. New performers also began sharing microphones with people from the earlier generation. Recordings such as **DJ Matty / MC Tazo / MC Future** demonstrate how those generations crossed over. ## Searching for the Earlier History There's still more of MC Future's story that needs uncovering. At the moment, we haven't found reliable enough evidence to publish a **real name or exact hometown**. We also don't want to automatically assume every recording labelled “MC Future” online belongs to the same North East performer. That's particularly important when rebuilding rave history from old uploads. For now, the confirmed North East recordings give us a starting point. Hopefully somebody from the scene can fill in the missing years. --- ## Do You Remember MC Future? Did you see **MC Future performing around the North East**? Do you remember the **Velocity vs Hangar 13** events? Did you hear him performing alongside **MC Tazo**? We're looking for: **Old tapes and CDs Flyers Photographs Videos Event listings Old rave website pages Mixes and MC recordings** If you've got anything involving **MC Future**, post it below and help us build a more complete history. Sometimes one old flyer or forgotten CD can fill in years of missing information. **Weedy Garage Radio – Keeping North East Rave History Alive.**
